I needed a rear tire replaced on my KLR650. Called service dept and they were very helpful. I was told to bring tire in and they would change tire out while I waited. Told it would not be a problem. I asked did they have tire in stock but was told no, to try and find one locally but they did have tube and tube strip, or I could wait for them to order it. I also asked what the price to change rear tire would be. I was told $100 on the bike and $50 off the bike, labor charge. So the rest of the story.. I brought tire in off the bike and here is what happened. Service manager starts out with and attitude that he was not going to change tire as I had not purchased it from them. I said, was he the person I talked to on the phone? He turned his back with no answer but came back in a minute and said he would do it this time but next time I had to buy the tire from them. I then again tried to tell him I had talked to him or someone in service dept and had done as they informed me to do. No answer again from him. So after trying to keep my cool I asked when might I get the tire changed and he said he did not know. So I started to pick up my tire and was told sometime maybe that day. I decided to run some errands and check back. By late that afternoon after my mid morning drop-off my tire was finally ready. My bill was 100 dollars labor, plus tax and tube for a total of $132.29. I will never use these folks for anything again and will share my experience with all my bike friends. On a pleasant note the lady in service and the young mechanic were both very courteous and helpful. The young mechanic tried to change my tire out when I arrived but was stopped by their service dept head man, short balding middle aged man, from doing this. It is very sad that businesses keep people on that treat customer's this way. I will shortly need front tire replaced, guess who I will not use?

I tried to buy a 2015 Polaris Sportsman 570 Sage Green ATV at Hall's Motorsports in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. I checked their inventory on their web site, found one that I was interested in and called them for a price. I printed out their inventory and wrote down the price quotes I got over the phone next to the ATV I was interested in buying. I made it clear that I was not just pricing them but was actually going to buy the ATV. I got the price on the one I wanted, double check again that it was the same one in their inventory because it was a discounted price on a year old (2015) ATV, and made arrangements to buy it the next day. Had a friend with a full side PU drive three hours with me to go get it. However, when I got there, the salesman said that I had misunderstood him, and there was no discount on the year old unit and the price was the full price plus dealer "prep". If this isn't "Bait and Switch," I don't know what is. Don't deal with these people unless you have it in writing, they don't stand behind their word.
Brought my bike in to get everything fixed up for sale. I called in every week for two months with varying excuses on why it wasn't done. Every phone call ended with my name and phone number and a request for a call back. So 90 days after the initial call, I get a call from a slightly aggravated woman saying "when are you going to pick up your bike? I'm not sure why we aren't charging you for a storage fee here." At this point, it took everything I had not to blow up on this person. In my calmest tone I could muster, I explained that I called for eight weeks straight and was told every reason why they had not fixed it, and my last call was on May 8th at 3:35 PM, and I requested a call back when it was fixed. She told me it was fixed on May 27th, and I was called back "sometime in June." I asked her if she had my call back records, and she said yes and had a date stamp on every time I called in. I then asked why she didn't even have a specific date on when they actually called me, and she admitted she couldn't answer that. I told her Halls Motor Sports is saved in my cell phone, and I have every outbound and inbound call from this phone number. She calmed down after that, and I came in the next day.
$650 later, I tried to drive off on my motorcycle. The bike got me across the parking lot and promptly died. The mechanics ran out and helped me bring it back in. They were pretty helpful. They said they would check up on it, but would need to keep it for a few days.
So I went inside, and asked about a consignment. I was fixing the bike so I could sell it. I was directed to Steve Austin. He told me this is no problem. He wrote everything down, and told me he would have it sold in less than a month. So two weeks went by, and I called for Steve Austin. He was gone for the day. I gave my name & number and told them to ask Steve to call me back. I called back two days later. He was on vacation. I called back the next week, and he was at lunch. Called back the next day, and he was with a customer. Each time, I left my name and phone number and a call back request, yet never received one. A week later, I came into the building, and found Steve. He saw me and immediately got real nervous. He said someone crashed into the building, and their main mechanic had some very serious health issues, etc. and apologized, and promised me a call back in a week. I gave him that week, and when I didn't get a call back or could get him on the phone again, I drove back and picked up the bike. The mechanics mumbled about why it took so long for me to pick up the bike, and seemed like they knew nothing of my problems with their customer service or the consignment I had with Steve.
A month later, I found a person interested in the bike. the told me the would like me to bring the bike in to Halls Motor Sports to have them do a diagnostics test. I told him the problems I had with Halls Motor Sports, but I did have a receipt where they repaired the bike, so I agreed. I brought the bike in, and they said it was $100 and required 24 hours. I came back the next afternoon. Paid the $100 bill, and asked "how did it go?" A mechanic told me "it runs great." I waited a few minutes for the purchaser, who joined me in the mechanics office. We pulled out the diagnostics, and it said in plain bold letters "Undrivable." WHAT?!!?! An older gentleman walked out, claiming he was the head mechanic. He left the room to ask some questions. I'm very nervous, as I had the potential purchaser right there. The mechanic came out, said "the bike is in good condition, but the tread on the front tire is too low for us to actually do a full test drive, which is why we listed it as Undrivable." I had to step out of the room. Luckily, the purchaser was okay with it after I knocked $500 off the selling price, and washed my hands of this whole ordeal. I will never use Halls Motor Sports for anything, and I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. That felt kind of good to put all this frustration in writing. *whew*
These guys are great! Very experienced and knowledgable. Staff works great to accomodate all your needs and genuinely wants to see you happy. Will be back for sure!!!!
We had a wonderful experience at Halls Motorsports. Rowdy was very helpful and answered every question plus more!! We were greeted as soon as we stepped in the door, very professional!! The staff went above and beyond to meet our needs!!!!
