5 Stars - We had a wonderful experience in the purchase of our Lincoln Navigator at Bill Alexander's Flightline Mazda. My husband and I were thinking of buying a car but we were not sure if we were going to qualify for this car. I was very impressed on how the staff at the dealership did everything possible to give us a good deal. Also, they were very friendly, we were never under any pressure or stress while making the purchase. We were very pleased at this dealership and we would definitely be back here when we buy another car.
2 Stars - While the overall purchase process was easy, as it should be, the lack of support has been atrocious. I have full faith and confidence that they can get just about anyone behind the wheel of a vehicle, and in debt as high as they can justify. But that's not really where I had any issues.
The salesman that I was dealing with was a real gentleman, he was honest (enough) about the vehicle I was interested in. Again, this wasn't really where I had any issues.
Where I had issues was with the garbage warranty items that were pushed on to me. I get it, the guy doing the final contract has to talk them up in order to get anyone to buy them, but at no point did I think that I was going to have problem after problem with what I told would be a smooth process.
After talking it over with the man who was doing my final sales contract, I purchased the Zurich Shield coverage for 'tire and wheel' and 'interior/exterior' coverage. The interior/exterior was supposed to be coated with the protective products that were being offered to create a "scotch-guard" effect. This ruined a few of the trim pieces on the exterior which, you guessed it, the service department wouldn't even entertain replacing. The hood release latch that I had in writing the dealership was supposed to replace? Again, you guessed it! They won't replace that either. When I tried going to the salesman that I initially dealt with to find out what the deal was, I was told by an incredibly rude salesman that he had "been let go."
Now, a few months later, when trying to use the 'tire and wheel' coverage, I had called to inquire about what specifically was covered, as I never received the booklet that I was supposed to that covers these details. Whomever I spoke with on the phone referred me to a 1-800 number and did not even attempt to help past that.
Will this dealership help get you behind the wheel? I don't doubt that at all. But with my credit, I wouldn't expect that to have ever been a problem. Will they help you with services and support after the sale? Don't count on it. You have disappointed me greatly and I will not recommend your dealership to any of my fellow service members.
