Definitely a great place to go to learn how to drive. The process was smooth and quick. Brent is a very thorough instructor who actually cares about safety on the road more than anything else. There was no hassle whatsoever. Great 2 hour lesson followed by a test that tested everything that needs to be tested on the road. Highly recommend this place!
A very goo place to learn how to Drive. Brent gives many advice, not only for the test, but also to be a safe and responsible driver. I learnt lots of tips. I highly recommend this place.
My husband bought me a spot in their Driver's Ed class, and three two hour driving lessons for my birthday last year. I'm 35 and had never had a license. A combination of mostly living in cities, and a fear of driving had kept me from ever wanting to get my license. The Driver's Ed class put me at ease and prepared me to drive. Stephan (the owner, and Driver's Education instructor) is funny, kind, patient, and knowledgable. He wants young (and not so young) drivers to be safe and responsible, and you can tell her really cares about what he's doing.
The driving instructors are also great. I did most of my lessons with Brent, who was, like Stephan, kind, helpful, funny, patient, and knowledgable. I passed my driving test today, and feel very well prepared for many years of safe, sane, calm, and responsible driving.
I highly recommend Boulder Driving Academy for all your "Learning To Drive" needs.
After my daughter attended her "learners permit" classes, we went to the DMV on her birthday to get her actual permit. After sitting in line for 1.5 hours, when they called us up, they said we were missing the paper from her driving school that said she attended their classes. I told them that all we received from them was the "passed test" result. They said we needed the class verification as well. So, we packed up and drove over 40 minutes, back to BDA and when we came in, I told them what happened. They said "we gave her the paper". I said "no, actually, I watched her walk out of your class and straight to my car, with only one paper in her hand, which she promptly handed to me". They argued with me and rolled their eyes and showed me samples of all of the papers that were given out and what they kept, which was a green copy. Well, he then said "Well, have a seat, this is going to take a few minutes for me to find her copy". We watched as he shuffled through papers and listened as the other man who works there, was equally rude to a new customer, saying "well hurry up! We have other people after you!". Then he pulls up a green paper and starts copying from that paper, on to a new "original" white paper. My daughter was watching him and she said "I'm not Samantha". and he barked "what????" and She said, "that's not me..." and he and this woman at the same time said "then who are you?? and what's your birthdate". The woman rudely waved in my daughters face, as if she was zoning out. And I told her my daughters birthdate. Again, the man rudely crumples up his incorrect paper and we have a seat as he starts again and says he can't find hers. Then he finally finds her paper and what do you know, but it's the original, with a "void" written on it...and he is copying to a new piece of paper. I stand up and say...isn't that her original? And he barked that it wasn't and that it was voided. Then he said "I thought you were in a hurry??". I said I was and he said, ok, let me finish! So, there sat my daughters original, that he mistakenly voided and never handed to her, and the only thing he could do was act as though we had lost it and it was our mistake. No apology, no nothing. We left and drove 45min. back to the DMV and barely made it with 5 min. before they closed and she was able to get her permit. But what a bunch of rude a$$ holes. I will never go back and I have 4 more kids that will be getting permits and licenses. I will be telling everyone I know NEVER to spend their hard earned money at that dive business. Thumbs down!!!!
The instructor, Brent, was very patient and friendly. He gave me a lot of information and I was also able to take the driving test with him. Everything went smooth. I would definitely recommend the Boulder Driving Academy to anyone who wishes to get a driver's license or wants to learn driving!
