Great school and wonderful people there like a family not teachers they help us learn so much they work with me to the extreme to make me succeed even when i fail my state exam but my examiner was professional and he coached me on my errors and my good buddies who were beside me to succeed are SHANE , MITCH , BIG AL , DAWN , and the rest of the team are wonderful people from management and staff. God bless you all and anyone who wants a CDL license this is the right place for you i promise you that.. Kasey
Not bad just what I need it to get the plastic CDL. They are deceptive when it comes to tuition so do your homework. The first week is a waste of time, better get your permit on your own. Most instructors are good but there are some that will waste your time an money. Steer clear of Shane if you can, do the night classes! he can be a little disrespectful and you wont learn squat from him, I saw how he would ridicule a student, did nothing to me personally. Be ready to commit an listen to the instructors in the backing pad, they are worth Gold. Hope this helps!
My wife and I just completed the Class A CDL course, and thanks to the all the GREAT instructors we were able to pass on our 1st time testing. The entire staff and crew are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. IF YOU DON'T PASS THIS CLASS AND GET A JOB ITS YOUR OWN FAULT! We had job offers from multiple companies within the first week. Thanks to Roadmaster Driving School Tampa in just 4 short weeks we are ready to start our new career. From the 1st day we walked in the school to the last day of the course all the staff and instructors where AWESOME . This has been a great experience.
I hope this review receives attention from any prospective student or company interested in doing business with Roadmaster. I work for a non profit organization, who asked me to get my CDL license as a backup driver in emergencies. I took classes on my own and received a CDL driving permit after completing the required state tests. I called Roadmaster to administer the skills test as a third party examiner. They agreed to do so and asked that I pay 150.00 to take the test. I showed up on the morning of the exam only to be told that the truck didn't have appropriate tags. I had provided all of the information on the truck and trailer to the school a week in advance and no one stated there was a problem. In fact, it took the examiner nearly an hour to determine whether or not she could administer the test with the information I provided them. After waiting an hour, the instructor turned me away. I asked if I could go to the DMV and rectify the situation and return to take my test. I was told that they wouldn't be able to administer the test again for another three days. I had already paid the 150.00 out of the funds of a non profit organization. I went elsewhere to get the skills test administered, the same day I might add. After all of this, the company refuses to refund the money to the organization. They claim that the instructor still had to be paid and be available for the test, whether I took the exam or not. I have contacted the company numerous times to be told there is nothing they are willing to do. I was even told that money is tight and they wouldn't be willing to revisit the issue. I would have given this company a half or a quarter star but that option isn't available through google reviews. In business, your reputation is everything. I believe that this review should illustrate the reputation this company is comfortable operating in.
As a current student in training I have seen or heard 3 instructors quit or get fired. The school be under staffed. Lied to by every single employee to include the Principal & director "Be told that I'm getting personal training to keep my finger up my hind quarter & spend 145 hours paying to not learn be disrespected and lied continually. This is the poorest representation that I have ever seen.
As a result I would not recommend anyone to attempt to further there education with this so called professional company & if I could ask for a refund and actually see it I would be greatly thrilled with the out come instead of accruing more debt then I originally planned. Because they don't have enough trainer or quality as a company.
