5 Stars - I've been leasing from the Autobarn of Evanston since about 1999, and in all that time I've never been tempted to go anyplace else, or drive anything other than a Volkswagen. Their service department is consistently prompt, courteous, cheerful, and clear in explaining the work they do. I am always especially happy when I see that Elaina Adeniyi will be helping me. She has saved me money, and got me through recalls and repairs quickly and efficiently, and always remembers me. She exemplifies the kind of customer service that makes Autobarn most likely the only place I'll ever get my cars.

5 Stars - I took my 2012 VW CC in for an oil change and the service was great. My service advisor was Daniel Herrera and he was very courteous and provided great customer service. He had great attention to detail and followed through with my request to replace my key fob battery.
5 Stars - I had a problem with my transmission. The Autobarn figured out what the problem was and corrected it, then discovered a new problem and corrected it as well. The service provider, Elaina Adeniyi kept me informed as she always does, procured a loaner vehicle and explained everything very well. It was excellent service and though I hope to never need significant repairs on my vehicle again, it's always a pleasure working with Elaina and team at Autobarn.
5 Stars - Everyone involved was very helpful and professional. From Service to sales to financing.. all great people that treated me like an important person.
4 Stars - I was helped by Denis Tomsa. The experience was great. Denis was very helpful and made himself available to me whenever needed. I've had the car for 2 weeks now and am enjoying it. Would certainly recommend to others.

3 Stars - First off, I would like to point out that this review is in NO WAY a negative refelction on the Autobarn of Mazda but their DISTRICT MANAGER !!!!!! I haven't met or talked to him/her but after the service department manager called me to let me know my paint issue with my 2014 Mazda 6 was declined it has left a bitter taste in my mouth and thus the purpose of this post ! I brought this car brand new from here and actually the color of my car is an extra and thus extra money I will pay not to mention the autoguard paint coverage I purchased the day I got this vehicle. My issue is / was that this paint that has come off is not due to normal road / enviromental damage and it appears on parts of my vehicle that are uncommon in my opinion to damage like this. I was told and shown an invoice from one of their service department associates yesterday when I had my car there that it would cost Mazda a total of around $1,800 to fix this.....in my opinion, a very small price to do whats right and keep your customers coming through the door !!!!!!! Besides this, the people that work here have been great in my opinion but as for the DISTRICT MANAGER I'd like to say "thanks for nothing but putting this bad taste in my mouth after this car costing me over $32,000.....It's sometimes the little things that matter DISTRICT MANAGER and most of all.....doing what is right !!!!!! ****** I must point out that I would have given this dealership 5 stars if not for this DISTRICT MANAGER turning down my legitimate paint issue ! ******
5 Stars - Juan Castellanos should be the role model for Customer Service! He is friendly and approachable. When I brought my CX-9 for service he took care of us like family. He promised me a time and he delivered! Keep up the good work.
4 Stars - Overall good buying experience. Salesperson was great - Danny Bender. Very knowledgeable, not pushy or arrogant in the least bit. Would recommend him to anyone.
Only reason I didn't give five stars is due to things that probably occur at every dealer - purchase process takes forever, some hidden costs like paint shields or something, slightly pushy warranty sales attempts after agreeing to the sale, etc.
Would not hesitate to recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a Mazda.
1 Stars - From all the good reviews, I decided to take my car here for a engine replacement. Let me tell you this dealership is not as nice as it looks. When I dropped my car off to get checked out by a gentleman named John Taladega, who sounded like he knew his stuff, my engine replacement was later denied (which should have been covered under warranty) and to top things off my front end of my car was scratched which he denied the dealership did. I then had to show him photos I had recently taken on my phone that I took when the car was on the flatbed tow-truck on the way over to the dealership. He tried telling me the wind blew off my plate. Now that I'm over there paying for the engine myself, which totals out to be over 5 grand, mind you I have never had a worse experience in my life. This lady Miriam McReady who is the service manager over there has no customer service what so ever. When I was about to drop off my car I asked what was needed for it so I could buy some parts to make it a little bit cheaper. She assured me that all I needed was coolant, oil, and oil filter. Maybe a water pump seal which I didn't mind buying directly from the dealership. A few days later I get a call from her in a rude manner asking where are the spark plugs? I told her that she did not tell me that I would need spark plugs. She said no that I was a liar and she did tell me. Why would I only buy half of the parts? Then telling me that a Mazda OEM spark plug was 70$ for a leading and 60$ for a trailing. Also assuring me that my coils were good and that would be the last thing I would have to buy. Me being so shocked that these spark plugs are worth more then gold I called Autozone and was able to buy OEM factory spark plugs for 300% cheaper (Autozone charged $20 for the same plug), I was amazed by the mark up. After work the following day I ran them over and dropped them off promptly. The next day I was told that my air solenoid was broken and only one coil was working. I assured them that both the air solenoid and the coils (which were replaced less than 10,000 miles ago) were working when they went in. For me to be considered for a engine replacement months ago I had all these test ran to make sure it was the engine that was broken and only the engine was showing to have an issue, no other parts! So for these two other parts to be broken AFTER these test were ran and not come up in my original diagnosis sheet it is CLEARLY not my fault and am very suspicious of the dealership breaking these two parts while inserting the engine. The car was taken from the dealership then brought to my garage then brought directly back to the dealership on a flatbed tow-truck with very careful instruction and supervision. They are telling me these parts are now another 900$ fix. This is ridiculous this is not the first time they denied damage and now they are trying to get me to pay for it once again along with denying having any involvement in breaking any parts. I will not recommend anyone to come to this dealership they will break parts and not own up to it. People at this dealership are a bunch of crooks and furthermore I will never buy a Mazda nor go to this dealership ever again for service. BEWARE!!!!!!
5 Stars - My sales consultant, John Norton, provided an excellent car buying experience. He was very professional, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable about the cars. He was willing to look for the very specific car I wanted and was able to get it to me within days of my request. The staff at Autobarn Mazda of Evanston were all professional and I did not feel pressured into any decisions. They were very respectful of me as a customer. I have also taken my previous vehicle to their service department which has been an excellent experience. I look forward to having them service my new Mazda 3!
