2 Stars - My review is this: I made a few purchases there of items in stock. No problems. All friendly. On 9/29/14, I came back with a front wheel that needed bearings. The parts needed to be ordered. 96 Honda ACE 1100. I can call a dozen places or a thousand websites and have them delivered to my house tomorrow, OEM. They said 3 days. They called me on 30th and said it would $325. I almost had a heart attack. I pulled the wheel myself. I just need old bearings pulled and the new ones seated. I'd gladly pay $100-$150 in labor with $30 for parts since I don't have the tools. But, I said ok. That's my front wheel. I want to know it's done well and done right. On 10/3/14 they called back and said they accidentally ordered rear wheel bearings. They did not give me an ETA or price adjustment. I called on the 11th and left a message that was not returned. I just called then today, the 14th. They told me they need to order the parts. I'm giving them until the 17th, then I'm taking my wheel someplace else or DIY. I could have shipped it home and back to Broward Motorsports for less, sooner. I hope they get it together. I am not exactly filled with confidence. I am putting my life in their hands. That is why I would pay premium for a job well done. That is my review.
Update, I went to pick up my wheel Friday morning, 9/17/14. The service manager met me, apologized, informed that the parts were overnighted, and assured me it would be done and I could pick it up in the afternoon. They called. I picked it up. All is well.
Parts were competitively priced. Labor was $75.00 That's fair an reasonable.
I understand mistakes happen. Communication is key to everyone remaining friendly.
I would have Called the customer as soon as I discovered the problem and I would have had a solution, updated prices, and an ETA.
I'm leaving my review at 2 stars but I will continue to do business there.

1 Stars - Terrible Service!!!!! I agree with the two previous 1 star reviews. The moment I set foot inside the service area I felt tension and It only got worse and to the point of picking up my ATV. Its was really a frustrating experience. It's ashamed they sort of represent Lafayette being located right there off of I-10. They really do need to clean house and start fresh and focus on helping customers. I will never make a purchase from this Dealer.

5 Stars - I had a great experience purchasing a 4-wheeler from Honda of Lafayette. The salesman were helpful, and they made the purchase quick and easy. I would definetly recommend doing business with them!!

1 Stars - I'm surprised there are not more bad reviews for this place. The first time I went for help I didn't know anything about bikes, the guy talked to me like I was 5 and after I still bought the product I didn't get a thanks?! No greeting when I walked in and once I got to there service counter. I would rather drive an hour than to go back here.

1 Stars - Purchased a blank key from this gentleman on eBay. Gentleman stated he accepted returns on all items except electrical components if they were missing the original packaging. A blank key is not an electrical component and as such I sent it back to him for an exchange. He refused to exchange the key due to its lack of packaging, advised me the key was not new even though it was not cut and he kept my blank key that I bought and paid for plus the cost of shipping back to him for resale. This guy is an absolute nut and I told him he was full of shit and he said he was going to report me to ebay for language I'm assuming in the hopes of keeping the $12 I already paid him, plus the key for resale. I wonder how he does with selling motorcycles or scooters? I am assuming his sunken motorcycle business is that hard up that he will go to any lengths to steal your money! Buyer beware or as they say caveat emptor.
1 Stars - Took my bike in to get fixed recently . I asked that I got a quote before any repairs were made , I called several times , the mechanic didn't seem to be there at all until one day I call and he's fixed the bike , that'll be $950+ dollars please . OK that was annoying but they kept the bike there free of charge till I got the money together . When I go to collect the bike the mechanic was extremely rude to me and my wife , and I get that he considers himself a master of his craft and I was obviously an idiot that has no idea what I'm doing , to him . BUT I would even accept his arrogance if my bike were actually fixed ! It got me home (30 min ride) barely! , then the problems I did have with the bike returned instantly on top of that I had to change out fuel lines as the master mechanic had put them back on with splits in them . So I am left almost a grand lighter in my pocket and I've had to repair what damage they have done .
Yet another option to cross of my list of respectable shops . Shame
2 Stars - How can a place with this poor of customer service even stay in business? I'm ashamed of their behavior and I dont even work there. Heres my story:
I walked in there wearing full motorcycle gear. There was no cars in the parking lot and no customers in the store. I hear a voice shouting at me from across the dealership. Its a man seated at a desk asking if he can help me. He didn't get up and come meet me. He just sat at his desk and shouted. Strike #1. So I walk up and greet him and tell him bluntly that I want to sell my bike and buy a new one. He has yet to get up out of his chair. He hasn't even offered me a smile or a handshake. Strike #2. I tell him that I'm looking to buy a specific model that hasn't quite come in stock yet. His exact words are "good luck". Good luck? I can see that being the correct response if I told him I was hoping to find one on the side of the road for free. The way I see it, they are the dealers, I shouldn't only have to express my desire and they will get one for me. I have they money, they have the bikes. Simple formula right? Anyway, we go on to discuss why he doesn't have one yet I understand that they are brand new and he just doesn't have them. THATS FINE! I'm willing to wait.... What happens next is what really shocked me. He just sits there staring at me.. Somewhat frustrated, I asked him if he would like to take my name and number and call me when he got some. At this point I'm thinking this guy isn't at all interested in selling me anything because I had to ask him to take my information. Well when I asked him if he would take me number and what not, I added in "if you are interested that is"... I understand I didn't have to say that. But I sure didnt feel like he was interested. This is where he got downright rude. He says "excuse me?" I said, "It doesn't seem like you are interested in selling me a bike" He replies with a simple hand wave towards the door "nope". This guy turned me away... He turned my money away. He lost a customer for sure. I was appalled at his behavior. I manage a store that deals in retail sales and service. If one of my employees EVER talked to a customer in the way he talked to me, they would be fired ON THE SPOT.
1 Stars - I had a very bad experience getting my motorcycle here repaired after a wreck. I was always very nice to the people there but almost everyone there was rude to me.
Not only did it take much longer than their estimated time (they estimated 2 weeks repair time and took 39 days to repair it), but they lied the my insurance company about the situation (my agent let me listen in on the conversation).
After they finally 'fixed' it, the my bike had a rattling sound from the engine revs. When I brought it back, the mechanic wouldn't even look at me when he talked to me. He instantly knew what it was though, (he left off a rubber stopper under the tank) and they wanted to charge ME for the rubber stopper that THEY forgot.
I will never do business with this place again.

5 Stars - Just purchased a used GoldWing from Southside. I made a special trip from out of state to look at te bike. It was as advertised. I placed a deposit on the bike and ask them to order and install a few accessories. I contacted them the next week to complete the transaction. Everything was ready. I found them to be very friendly and honest. They went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. This was a very good experience for me.
