Some of the worst customer service I have experienced. The staff have no idea how to respect their customers, and they lack even the most basic courtesy in person and over the phone. I had to come to the store multiple times because I was told my bike was ready for pick up when it actually wasn't. I'm now riding farther away for my bike service, but it is worth it
Nicholsons were out of business but nothing said that online so I found out when I got there, 60 mile round trip for nothing
Terrible Service. Very dishonest people who do not stand by their word. No integrity. You cant run a successful business without integrity and they dont have any. I brought something in for them to fix and they charged me for a new part even though the other one was fine. They wouldnt stand by their word and their work even after I and showed them their error. I would not advise working with them.

parts people are great--responsive and helpful--service is a mixed bag, it depends who back there you get. sometimes the work is good and just what you would expect, sometimes bad, like when a couple of years ago they changed my oil but did not remove the old gasket from the filter before putting on the new and it leaked oil bad, but that is the last bad experience i have had, and i assume that careless guy is long gone. i have been going back there for 15 years so bottomline is they are way better than the one star people suggest.
My family and I have shopped at Nicholsons for many years. I purchased by first bike here and I plan on purchasing my next, my parents have purchased at least five bikes.
In response to the negative comments:
As with any business there have been times when something needed to be set right (with regards to service or a product). The thing that I've always noticed is their persistence in "making it right".
Any of the staff I've interacted with have either been very knowledgeable, friendly, or honest. They don't pretend to know something they don't. They'll take the time to find out the correct answer, giving you the best options for your decision.
I also recommend stopping by the shop and checking out the events they host. There are often great deals, good people, free food, and raffle give'aways!
