Had an excellent experience when buying my 2015 Kawasaki Versys 1000 LT from Rosenau Powersports. Salesman Jimmie Louis was exceedingly polite and patient with my questions and situation, and went above and beyond to get my offer approved. He stayed on top of the logistics required to transfer the bike from Ohio to Dearborn Heights at the end of the day Friday. The bike was perfectly prepped and ready for me when I arrived to pick it up on Monday afternoon; I was in and out in about an hour. Could not have been better!
Be prepared to be charged for time not used.
$150 diagnosis was their base but if it took less time then the remainder would be put towards the full bill. I got the call that my issue was bad key fobs on my kawasaki concours and that the mechanic had just addressed the same problem a week earlier and that he knew right away what the issue was. Youd think i wouldnt be charged the 1.5 hr diagnosis rate right? WRONG. Was also charged an hour for reprogramming which i know takes 15 minutes each from previous issues. I was also told that a pair of fobs were $284. I was shocked. Thats what i was charged for just one a few years ago. I clarified if it was for the pair and he confirmed. But when he called to let me know the bike was ready, the ballparked $530 quote bloomed to $970. They forgot to remove a few items, then charged me the $284 for each key fob. They also added a $20 shop fee which is described as nuts bolts cleaner rags in the fine print - which none were used on this programming. And was told its part of their system and they cant change it - BULLSHIT. Never going here again.
What a difference! I posted a very bad review about Bright Powersports in Lincoln Park after having yet another bad experience with them (every experience with them has been poor). I ended up going to Rosenau after the Bright fiasco's, and wow! What a difference!
Everyone greets you. Everyone asks if there's anything they can help you with. When the parts guy didn't have what I needed in stock, he went out of his way to dig through parts bins to find some parts I could use temporarily until my ordered parts came in, and he gave me the temp parts at half-price.
Inventory is excellent. Sales people are enthusiastic, and will stand there and answer all the questions you want to ask, even after you tell them you're not buying and are just browsing. They've won me over, and I am now going to be a regular customer!
I purchased a 2005 Honda dirtbike in 2006 they cheated me out of money they open a credit line in my name saying that was the warranty but later on I found out that they opened this line of credit for the salesman to charge parts to it for his own bike, I ended up getting reimbursed some of the money because I threatened to go to the local news station to report them, technically I think I should have for their dishonesty but make sure you read everything and know what you're signing when you're at rosenau power sports, I have boycotted that place since that time I have never been back not even for oil
Will not be returning. Talked to salesman a couple of times and they had what I wanted, called him right before I made the hour long drive....again he said the atv was there. When we arrived we were told that the specific atv that we had just asked about had been sold 3 days earlier. Thanks alot Mark for letting me know not to do business there again.
