I traded in my sport bike for a can-am due to a bad ankle. When the weather warmed up they delivered my bike and picked up my sport bike (after telling me that delivery was free, I should have read the paperwork better because they put a delivery fee in with the price of the bike). After getting my bike I received a call two months later, asking if I received my bike. I was a bit confused then they told me they delivered the wrong bike. I let it go because it was an upgraded version so whatever. I was out of town for work but they also told me that they had to re-due the paperwork because the vin numbers and what not. They sent the mail to my apartment and then my roommate sent the paperwork to me in Maryland. I filled everything out and mailed it back in. I get a call when I get back telling me that the signatures don't match and that I need to re-sign everything again. So I drive the hour there to fill out everything again. I told them there wasn't anything wrong with the signatures and I signed the paperwork myself, apparently someone else told them that my roommate signed everything. After all this hassle I got rid of the can-am for a Yamaha raider scl. I thought everything was good to go there, then this month I start getting letters in the mail from the Illinois Tax Revenue saying I owe them 177.17 because the paperwork wasn't filed on time, for my can-am (which I don't even own anymore), then I get another letter saying that my claim to try to get it dismissed was denied but I never put in a claim and I had no idea this was even going on. They sat on the paperwork and put in the numbers wrong. The penalty went from owing just $.19 to 177.17. I had to get a lawyer to call them and they said they would put a check in the mail and pay for it. A week later still nothing. looking like I'm out $177.17 because I'm sure there is no check in the mail. Never going there again.
My son found a motorcycle he wanted to buy at Big St. Charles Motorsports, worked out a deal with the salesman, but needed to come back with one of his parents to cosign a partial loan for the bike. He paid the deposit they required to hold the bike on Thursday, and we went back on Saturday morning to complete the deal (a day-and-a-half later) and were told they sold the bike to someone else.
They said they'd do anything to make up for their mistake and give him a big discount on any other bike in the shop, which is exactly what they should have done. Instead, they offered him a junker that's been on the floor unsaleable for more than 3 months, thinking he wouldn't know the difference. I can't decide which is worse: that they sold the bike out from under him, despite the deposit, just to make a quick buck, or that they tried to rip him off on the second bike.
Ironically, because he's so knowledgable about motorcycles, all his friends come to him for advice about what bike to buy and where to buy it. Guess where they won't be going to buy their next bike?
They say to be careful when buying things (guitars, computers, motorcycles, cars) on Craigslist because some of the sellers have no morals and will do anything to rip you off. I've actually met a lot of nice people through buying items on Craigslist, and purchased quality items for better prices. Working with Big St. Charles Motorsports was sleazier than any seller I've ever encountered through Craigslist. Buyer beware.
I had the worst experience with the sales department, they lost my file, told me the deal was good to go but had to wait for the banks to open the next day. so I waited to hear from them and no one ever called me to tell me one way or the other. I finally called and was told someone would call me back within an hour, four hours later I called again and talked with a manager and he said he wasn't there the day before and was with a customer and would find my file and call me back as soon as he could. well its been 4 days now and no one even bothered to call. I can understand the extremely young sales staff not being able to do there job, but the manager should represent the company better than blowing off a paying customer the way they did.
I talked with a salesman to see what had happened. turns out that the salesman I originally talked to had missed placed my file and he was to call me to tell me I was approved. Justin in finance apologized and took good care of us. The people in the parts, apparel department were awesome. They were very helpful and very knowledgeable.
Over all, I would say with out more competition in the area, just go in knowing that the sales staff will only help if you are right in front of them. Do not expect them to call you the next day or do anything unless you are right there. even if it means losing a sale, they do not care enough to do any follow up with their customers. it may take more work on your part to get the sale done but they do have a great selection in bikes.
Should have listened to the reviews that I saw online, just like this one. I should have walked away, or rather ran away from this place. I had a deal working with them, but all of sudden the ski I wanted had shipping damage, but the more expensive one would be just fine. So I searched other dealers for the ski that I really wanted, and not the more expensive one. So I went back and researched the more expensive ski(310R) and found a deal that was 3 hours closer to me. So I told my salesperson down at St Charles that I would buy from them if they would match the deal from the Iowa dealership. I was told yes, and I asked if it was a TOTAL price as I was quoted up here... I was reassured that it would be a TOTAL price. Some how even with me having 10+ years in selling vehicles(powersports included), TOTAL does NOT mean TOTAL to these people. So here I was thinking that I would drive down pick up the ski and make a little vacation out of it on Lake of the Ozarks.... They took over 4hours to get paperwork, and the ski ready when I was told it was ready the night before. Now 6weeks later, after playing phone tag with them and even not getting someone to return a phone call so I could ship the title of my trade to them, the GM calls me and blames me. Doesnt offer any type of apology, or explaination. Just this is how we do it here in Missouri.... So long story short Ive contact Kawasaki, and will be contacting a DMV or whatever down there as well... They dont honor their agreements, and they shafted me out of close to $1,000..... As I said, Dont walk away from this place RUN!!! I wouldnt send my worst enemy to buy here, nor would I visit again if my life depended on it.
Not that I expect anything to come out of it. Most businesses if they got a bad review would give a reply... These people dont care, they have already cashed my check.
My husband and i came in and bought a SeaDoo, I want to thank Ryan, Todd and Will for working their butts off and taking care of us to make everyone happy! We have been out twice this past weekend and we are in love with our new SeaDoo. Thanks guys for all your hard work!!! We will recommend you to everyone!!

This was the worst experience. In the beginning the crew is very helpful. But literally a week later after I purchased my car, the battery went out and I needed new muffler, 3 new tires, the car didn't have ac or heat, the steering wheel needed an adjustment . Not to mention , I ALMOST LOST MY LIFE because the car slid off the road with smoke coming from the hood in the middle of the night. (No I didn't hit anything)They weren't helpful at all. I had to take taxis to get to work . My car only lasted for about 2 months after I spent 1000 dollars in repairs . Tony and Dans response was "that's not our problem". So I do not recommend them .
I was in serious need of a car detail and came across Indy Motorsports during my online search. They were fairly close to home and when I called they were able to get me in the very next day. (the day of as well if I wanted) I brought my car by about 9:30am- I made a few special requests and they said they would call when finished. I got a call around 3:00pm saying it was ready to be picked up. When I showed up they walked me through the work on the car. It was immaculate. The crew was super friendly and funny to talk to. They have a very clean and beautiful establishment. I would highly recommend them for any car detailing. Their prices are very reasonable as well.
I was looking for a car detailing place to get the interior of my car cleaned. The group at Indy Motorsports were both helpful and courteous. While dropping the car off to be cleaned, I asked for additional detailing work and decided to try full interior and exterior detailing. This was the best service and better price than I would have imagined. Not only did the car look showroom new, but they also cleaned under the hood engine dust and dirt, which looked fabulous! I will bring my other vehicles here when it is time for detailing and cleaning! Exceptional service professionals!
