1 Stars - From the moment I checked in the manager was rude to me. We checked into our room and it looked nothing like the pictures, the fridge still had food in it and it smelled like musk. I felt unsafe and immediately asked for a refund. The manager refused to give me a refund and insisted that the cops got involved before she could give me my money back. The cops showed up and assisted with the refund and we found somewhere else to stay. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else!
1 Stars - This motel was the one of the filthiest places I've ever stayed. The rooms do NOT look like they do in the pictures instead they are outdated (worse than the pictures on this page) and disgusting, cigarette smoke is embedded in the 70's wood paneled walls. My boyfriend and I pulled back the sheets and discovered a huge stain on the mattress. When I talked to the owners about switching rooms they tried to fight me tooth over nail. They ended up switching it and turns out it was just as gross. Plus the whole time we were there we saw the same man and woman working the desk so when the heck do they ever sleep?? Also there's some sort of night club next door that attracts strange crowds, it's noisy and we had people we didn't know knock on our door and try to play pranks. We packed our stuff and checked out at 1AM because we couldn't stand staying another night.
4 Stars - The rooms are a bit outdated, but it was a good price and a great location for access to downtown and the University. The best part about this place is the staff. They are so nice and friendly! They went out of their way to help make us comfortable. They were even going to drive us to the airport when our cab was insanely late. BTW don't use Yellow cab, use the airport shuttle.
2 Stars - The couple that ran the place was really nice to me, but I can't recommend staying here. The room was musty and smelled like a mix of cleaning supplies and an old person's home. The only way to the upper floors is to go past the main front desk, even if your room is on the opposite end of the hotel. If you want to plug in your laptop or cell phone, you'll have to unplug a lamp or the alarm clock since every outlet in the room was already used except for the one in the bathroom. No AC, but when I called about it the guy at the front desk brought up a box fan. It did help, but seriously, a hotel with no AC in the year 2013 is crazy. Their continental breakfast was the lamest I've ever seen and I ended up having a bagel, a Little Debbie type bear claw and a small bowl of cereal. That's all there really was.
Skip it, pay a little more and go somewhere else.
1 Stars - DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY. First room was FULL OF BUGS. DO NOT STAY HERE, The park down the street has less bugs. When I asked for a new room I got attitude from the manager who blamed the bugs on the door being open for 3 minutes while the luggage came in, only thats not true because 1000 bugs would have had to pass me in the door. Absolutely disgusting smelling and now I have to have everything cleaned before I can even take it in my home. Suitcase included. An extra $40 night for service and no bugs is a small price to pay. Oh ja the phone had NO CORD so no my wake up call did not come either. How could it, NO PHONE! He called me a liar when I tried to talk to him about it. So i took him upstairs and showed him and he indicated......he thought it was me who did it. When things got a little heated he threatened to call the cops to which I said go ahead, he was bluffing, not sure to what end. Strange activities. Fireworks in the parking lot at 4 AM as well. DONT STAY HERE FOR LOVE OR MONEY YOU WILL BE SORRY. DIRTY CRAP HOLE.
