I love Mile High Dealership, they are very nice and considered people. They helped me in ways that I needed help in, in ordered to help me get what I needed done to pay them back with the respect that they deserve......I love them and would buy from them again.
We just bought a pre-owned truck sight-unseen from this dealership. We are wintering in Arizona but Montana is our home state. I had sorta committed to a similar truck in Utah but didn't know how to get it to Montana for a decent price. I was checking my e- mails one day and noticed I had some messages from Dan Gavinsky at Butte Mile High. I kinda remembered seeing them before but had ignored them. They were in response to my interest in a truck I'd seen on CarGurus, an online site that represents several dealerships. Meanwhile, the Utah salesman didn't seem really interested in selling us their truck. He wasn't communicating much with me and they weren't accommodating on getting the truck delivered to Montana for us. Bottom line is that Dan from Mile High CJDK in Butte seemed very interested in me and was very patient with my indecision, but at the same time gave me the impression that he wanted to sell the truck to us. I think car salesmen have gone from hard sell to soft sell over the years, but Dan hit a nice medium. He also got us a decent deal. I know Butte Mile High made a lot of money on this truck. At the same time, we didn't pay any more than we would have somewhere else and it was right in line with Kelley Blue Book. They also found us good financing with a great interest rate. We both have a high credit score but because my husband has a nine year old business related bankruptcy, several banks were unwilling to give us the financing the dealership had offered us. At least one was not willing to give us credit at all. They did find a bank willing to take us and the deal was done. But the clincher that got these guys five instead of four stars was the free delivery to Missoula to our daughter's home. Thanks Mile High for the great service and hopefully a great truck. We have yet to see it. Next month!
This truck is an SXT and not an SLT, so I was looking at the Kelley Blue Book wrong. We hadn't been able to find an SXT but redid my search today and found it. The SXT is a cheaper model, so even with the upgrades, it comes in about $3,000 less than the SLT. So it seems we did spend more than we should have for this truck, even with the really low miles. I took the fifth star away because of this. Maybe should take two stars away. I just hope we love the truck!
Unbelievable bad service. My husband's Dodge Dart - still under warranty- had a bad ignition coil. He was stranded almost 2,000(!) miles away from home. This dealer was either not willing or not competent to call the other Dodge dealers in the region for that part, instead told him it would be 3 weeks before a new part would arrive (The computer showed 85 dealers had the coil) So my husband called and got names from our local dealer and was strangely able to get that coil shipped overnight. Adding insult to injury not only did he have to pay for the part and shipping, but Mile High claimed that they could not code the labor as warranty and he had to pay for that too.
This case is with Dodge Corporation now.
Complete idiots. Bad service, bad communication, liars and cheats. Check to see that you have a spare if you buy a car there!!
The best car experience(s) ever! Mike and the sales staff not only got me into a great pre-owned truck at a great price, but the low pressure atmosphere was a nice change from other dealerships.
The most amazing thing about Mile High though is how they have stood behind their product even though it was pre-owned. I had some minor issues come up a couple weeks after the purchase and told my salesman who told me just to bring it in and the service department would get me fixed up. I did and everything was handled at no charge.
I had a check engine light come on last week, roughly 45 days after purchase. I live in Missoula and took it to the local dealer who wasn't much help and couldn't look at it for at least two weeks. I called Mile High and was able to get in contact with Adam, the sales manager. He told me to bring it back in and even offered me a free loner car to use. The check engine light ended up being a bad wire and was fixed very promptly. Jennifer and Laurie in the service department are amazing and Adam and Mike in sales are equally awesome.
