5 Stars - I have been taking my car to the Buffalo location for over a year now. I have primarily just had oil changes, and have been satisfied with the service and wait time. Tony has always been friendly, knowledgable, and helpful.
1 Stars - $60 to change an O2 sensor, a 5 minute job. $11 at auto zone buys you a socket made just to do the job.

1 Stars - I have been a loyal customer to this AutoTech location for years and they recently did some work on my car. A few days after I got my car back, the transmission started acting funny so I took it back in and after a day they call me and tell me I need a completely new transmission and give me an estimate of about $2400. It was a little shady since they had JUST been working on my car and all of a sudden I have transmission problems? Its only a 2005 and has about 50,000 miles on it. They were very clear that a completely new transmission was the only fix. I didnt have the money at the time so I waited about a month and decided it would be good to get a second opinion. I take it into a completely different shop/company and get a phone call that the only thing that was wrong was a leak and very low transmission fluid. Clearly AutoTech didn't even check the transmission fluid (by the way they flushed my transmission about 10 months ago and the car hadn't been driven 5 of those months since). Just a leak?! I was about to spend $2400 for something completely unnecessary. There's no way they didn't notice the leak. When he gave me the estimate and told me what was wrong, he went off about how it was electrical and blah blah. Now my car is running perfectly and I saved hundreds of dollars. I would no longer recommend this company to anyone. It makes me wonder how bad i've already been ripped off by them over the years. Completely dishonest and distasteful.

5 Stars - I've been going to Auto Tech at Durango and Twain for years. I went to the Decatur location when Dawn was there long ago. Dawn runs a tight ship and gets my stuff fixed! She tells me like it is and charges me fairly. The negative reviews I've read don't even seem like they could be talking about the same place. I recommend Auto Tech to friends. Auto Tech was recommended to me. Word of mouth advice is seldom incorrect. Its hard to find people you can trust with your car. I trust Dawn at Auto Tech.
3 Stars - I used to work at auto tech and when I was there we took care of the customer first. I know Dave feels the customer is right and we would work late in the evenings on cars we told people would have the next morning. I still feel that way and I am sure Dave does to but these new employees I don't know them, and the dollar should stop when the customer is unhappy.
5 Stars - Went there to get my car smogged, had me done in about 10 minutes. No fuss, very happy.

1 Stars - 3 years ago I would have given Auto Tech 5 stars. We have recommended a bunch of people here but we are taking our business elsewhere. We had our oil changed today and were told we needed new front brake pads. Our total bill came to over $300! I have no auto experience but I know brake pads and an oil change should in the low $200's. I feel their slogan should be DIShonest and UNreasonalbe!

1 Stars - I had an oil change done with the groupon (I purchased the 1 year unlimited oil change/rotation/28 point inspection, etc.) When I picked up the car & started it, there was knocking noise from the lifters. I thought it would go away, but can still hear it after 2nd day. I think it is due to cheap or recycled oil that is being used. Also, there was oil on the arm rest and passenger seat (leather). Then I noticed a burning oil smell from engine; so they must have dripped oil on it, because there are no leaks on my vehicle. I was surprised when the mechanic suggested that my car needed a transmission oil change & power steering; I was surprised because my vehicle is in desperate need of front brakes & new rotors, as well as new tires (my tires are at the legal tread limit & are old and cracking). The engine idles way to high (hopefully it just needs a new Idle air control valve); But the mechanic never mentioned any of these necessary repairs. The only suggestion was to have an easy fluid change (or two) performed, which would net them more money because it can be done quickly & cheaply. The tires and brakes are a safety concern, yet they never even warned me about those!. I also wanted to point out that I brought the vehicle into the Sahara Ave shop at 8am, and told them I would return after an hour or so. They had plenty of time to perform a PROPER 28 point inspection. This is unacceptable! You/we rely on them to check safety issues (and they say they will) and they don't even do the inspection! As a consumer, this is an issue of great concern to me.
