Vanessa Gonzalez05/15/155 Stars - goodNM gunowner11/16/122 Stars - GUNHAWK FIREARMS HURTS HUNTERS - DO NOT SUPPORT THIS STORE Hunting is about heritage, respect, and ethically owning our own place as carnivores in the food chain. It is not about senseless mass slaughter or denigrating the worth of any living creature by turning it into a pointless competition for dead bodies. The kind of idiocy Gunhawk Firearms is promoting with this coyote slaughter contest is a travesty. As a gun owner, I promise never to set foot in this store again and urge others to take a stand as well. Don't let these morons tarnish the reputation of all hunters.Jeremy Zimmerman11/12/122 Stars - Unfortunately the only real option in Los Lunas, has me going to Albuquerque from now on. Nice enough folks, but everything is expensive. I'm not cheap, but I'm not wasting my money either. Went in and saw a nice synthetic stock for a 10/22. Showed it to my wife and she wanted it. We bought it, asked how it is installed, and they told us you just take the 10/22 apart and slip it inside this new stock. Easy right? Wrong. It is an Archangel stock, and it requires a bunch of work. Came with no instructions so we needed to look them up online. It was missing the extended magazine release, and the rear sight needed taken off. We couldn't figure it out so we took it back to Gunhawk, and they said, "Yeah, that release is on the gun we took it off of." What? Yeah, it turns out they sold me a used stock (looked brand new) without telling me it was used. They offered to install the stock for us, and remove the rear sight. We figured it would be fine, and left the rifle with them. After calling every day for a week, they said the rifle was done. We went in, and yep, it was all together. I asked for the 10/22 latch they had removed, in we wanted to replace it in the future, put it back to stock. "Sorry, we put it on the other rifle." What? We then asked for the sight they removed to get the stock on... "Well, that's the thing, those are really hard to get off, and it got all mangled up. Sorry". Say again? Needless to say, my wife just wanted her rifle, and they lost my business. I've since then just turned to the internet, as even with shipping most items and ammo is about 20% cheaper than their prices. I wish them luck in the future, but I won't be going back.Cynthia Tait11/18/122 Stars - Gunhawks' coyote killing contest is pathetic - Rick Grosse (aka business manager) and Mark Chavez (the owner) designed the contest to sell guns and ammunition with the intent to line their pockets with money.......look at the other reviews - the local business community/ranchers and even other hunters don't want anything to do with them. Shame on them. Rick and Mark.....time to close up shop and do something positive for humanity and the animal world - coyote killing contests are a far cry from human decency. Shame on you both.Anne Boleyn11/09/122 Stars - I wouldn't give them my business, and I know many hunters who agree. Gunhawks barbaric coyote hunt has made big headlines due to recent death threats and the involvement of the FBI. The ironic thing is that Gunhawks is not bringing sympathy to their slaughter cause, but instead is embarrassing their town, state, gun owners, and ethical hunters who hunt for food only. This business is not only a poor steward of the earth, but poor stewards of their town's economy and reputation.
