Billy Bob07/06/15The owner agreed to fix a problem that I discovered with the car I purchased upon picking it up but has now told me that he is not going to. I purchased a 2006 Volvo S60 on April 30 2015. I looked at the car a few days earlier and when showing me the inside of the trunk the sales person Rick opened the trunk with the button on the trunk. When we came to pick up the car after it was cleaned (at my request) the trunk button and the button on the key remote would not work. The trunk could only be opened by inserting the key. When the owner Brett noticed this he thought it was odd also and spent a few minuets looking at it. He himself said that he remembered it working just a couple of days ago. He said no problem take the car and bring it back and I'll have it fixed. I agreed and left. It's been 1 month now and over 10 phone calls and 2 visits back and talking to both Brett the owner as well as Rick the salesman nothing has gotten done. The salesman told me the first 3 or 4 times that he was trying to get in touch with their repair guy to have him look at it. Then when I spoke to Brett he told me that the car was purchased as is. I told him that the trunk worked properly when we looked at the car and now he says "I don't remember if the trunk worked or not". The salesman also told us that there were 2 keys for the car when we looked at it and when we picked it up Brett said there was only 1. That's a $330 key that they lied about. Also when looking at the tires on the car at first I told them they were very low and couldn't imagine them passing inspection. His response was "well it did pass inspection". When I showed the tires to a friend that owned auto repair shop he told me that those tires should have never passed a safety inspection. This is about the trunk though the tires are my problem. I'm just trying to show what kind of person the owner Brett is and the practices that he tells his sales people with the tires and the key. He has now just refused to fix the trunk (which I knew he had no intention of fixing after making me bust for a month)after I told him if he wouldn't do the right thing and fix the trunk like he had promised to when I took the car I was going to file a complaint with the BBB and tell people I knew not to buy a car from him. He said "I don't care do whatever you want I"m not fixing the trunk". If you are in the market for a used car I definitely would go somewhere else or at least have it checked out by a trusted mechanic. And don't believe or trust the owner Brett he lies just to get you to take the car and then it's "THE CAR WAS SOLD AS IS" The people that gave them 5 stars must be relatives or friends. They are friendly until you have a problem!!!!!!!!!!!Matt Watkins06/07/15I purchased a 2008 Subaru STI from Bluewater Motorsports in March of 2015. The day after I purchased the car my power steering pump went out. After calling a few times to talk to them about it to have them help me get it fixed they told me they would have to look at it first before they would do anything with it, fair enough. I took the car to them and they recorded what was wrong with it to show their mechanic and get a diagnostic. I never got a call back from them so I attempted to call them several times to see what was going on and they avoided contact with me. I decided I would pay it out of pocket and get the car running properly. About 3 weeks after spending $960 out of pocket to have the Subaru dealership in Jacksonville NC fix the power steering pump, I was making a trip to see a friend in Norfolk VA. Almost directly in the middle of the trip, 2 hours north east of Jacksonville and roughly an hour and a half south west of Norfolk, something came loose in the engine of the car. After getting the engine looked at, I am looking at spending around 4 thousand dollars to purchase a new short block engine, a new turbo, an engine gasket kit, and a new timing belt for the car. I would not recommend shopping at Bluewater Motorsports. They sell lemons and will not help you in anyway in the event of the car you purchase from them having any problems. On top of that, after we had agreed on a price for the car, I put them in touch with my bank to work out all the information for the loan. The people at Bluewater Motorsports went behind my back and told the bank a different price from what we had originally agreed on. The people working at Bluewater Motorsports are not honest people and are not out to help you. All they care about is making an extra buck. DON'T BUY FROM BLUEWATER MOTORSPORTS IF YOU KNOW WHAT IS GOOD FOR YOU!Joshua Dunbar02/11/15Brett is a great guy and helped get me financed at a very low interest rate with quick and easy financing and I absolutely love the car, will recommend to anyone looking to buy a used vehicle!jeff johnson12/09/14What a great place to buy a car from!
