5 Stars - It was a good school, have your money right and study prior to taking test. You should have no problem. The staff was helpful from the top all the down.
4 Stars - Overall a good school. Some people complained about the instructors being rude, well this place is not for children, so please grow up before you go.
5 Stars - Don't listen to the bad reviews! My husband did the school and had no real problems, even when some issues came up. Maria with financial aid helped him the whole way. Kelly in admission is wonderful, polite, and upfront! She tells you how it is and doesn't blow smoke. Some people just need to learn to help themselves.
As far as job placement goes, before he even officially started they gave him three early applications to fill out. You have to take the initiative to turn them in the first week of class. There are other people who are waiting till the last moment and yeah they are surprised when they can't find a job, or they want local only and they are told that those positions are really for experienced drivers who have paid their dues. If you drag your feet and expect others to find a job for you, then don't be shocked when you graduate without a job.
Also, there are many factors to consider that I bet the other reviews aren't saying. A lot if trucker companies won't take you if you have speeding tickets or certain felonies within a certain time period Just to name a few.
The school is tough but fair, if you do your work, fill out the paper work and try your hardest they will try and work with you. He is having a blast at school and made some great friends an contacts.
As far as the instructors, they're real drivers who had real jobs in the industry. Of course, they are going to be a little harsh mouthed, but that is the industry! They are very professional people, with high expectations. You're there to learn and do work, not sit there and expect to have it just given to you.
1 Stars - Nothing I have heard a lot of comments that the teachers make racist comments and living in a city where 70% is Latino there are no Hispanic descendant teachers.
2 Stars - Went back to say hi...Ed Goodwin still a control freak. Cussing in the office. Mike bragging about himself. Their attitudes reflect on the students. Pay up or get lost
