5 Stars - I have been dealing with Fair Oaks Jeep (they sell some other brands too but it is a Jeep dealer to me) for a couple of years now. The after hours service is great and Mike the service advisor is awesome. They have taken excellent care of my 2005 Grand Cherokee.
I have been shopping around for a newer used Grand Cherokee for a few months. I met my salesperson Patrick about a month ago. He was very laid back and let me look as long as I wanted. He knew I was not anxious to buy a new Jeep but just looking and waiting for the right one to show up.
Well this weekend I found it. A beautiful 2012 Grand Cherokee that was just about perfect for me. Patrick never pushed me to any vehicle just because they had it on the lot. He let me shop and compare to my hearts content. Once I found it and made up my mind he made the process easy and quick.
I could not be happier with all of my experiences at Fair Oaks Jeep. Everyone I have dealt with there has been courteous and professional but Patrick in sales and Michael in service are absolute aces!
1 Stars - Horrible horrible horrible experience. The only pleasant thing was Bonnie the sales person. Very real, sweet, and down to earth. Unlike the usual BS artists. I'm mad if you can't tell. I would spend an hour of my time writing the nightmare I and my wife have experienced, but I've spent so much time and agony over this I can't put any more time in. Suffice it to say, buy at your own risk. WARNING WARNING
5 Stars - We have bought two cars and leased one from this dealership in the last 7 years. We keep coming back because of the OUTSTANDING service from our salesman, Sony. We totally trust Sony to give us a fair deal. He has a laid back and personal style and we never feel any pressure to make decisions we are not 100% on board with. Sony was recently promoted to manager and it is very well deserved. No one works harder at making sure their customers leave happy. I'm certain that this type of salesmanship has been passed along to his entire team.
In addition, the service department has always been super. They really go out of their way to make you feel like an important part of the family. Plus, they are open until midnight which is very convenient in the hectic paced life we live in the N. VA area.
So, if you are shopping for a new or used Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep, go to this dealership and ask for Sony even if it means passing on one or more dealers that may be closer to your house. I'm certain it will be worth your while.

1 Stars - The sales person Bonnie Abbott was not the reason for the single star rating. In Mrch 2015 we bought a Preowned 2014 Chrysler Town & Country Touring van from Fair Oaks Chrysler. The car had 10k. We drove away feeling happy with our purchase until 2 miles from the dealership when the check engine light and oil lamp came on and car started behaving strange. We called them and were told to bring the car back. Upon arrival we found that the car was covered with oil or trans fluid. They later told us that their inspection guys left a cap or drain plug loose. The GM or managers never came and apologized or offered anything else to make things better for us. Only the sales person, Bonnie was apologetic. We were satisfied with the strange explanation, though we should have been on the alert. Next we took the 2014 10k vehicle that ultimately cost us $25K to get MD inspected. Well, it FAILED! It failed because the front passenger side headlight rattled around in it's housing and could not be properly adjusted. The headlight housing was completely cracked through and epoxied to hide the damage. Only the epoxy had dried and curled up no longer hiding the issue, especially to an inspector. In addition, the vehicle alignment was off and MD has alignment as an inspect item that must be repaired before it passes. The inspector also found some apparent leakage around transmission pan. He stated that it appeared to have been in a fender bender at some point. The CARFAX report was clean, no accidents. How did Fair Oak Chrysler deal with the news? They said Virginia doesn't require alignment so they wouldn't fix it. They said they would fix the light but never would schedule an appointment. Luckily we were given an extended temporary tag, but it is now over a month since purchase and we have not been able to get F - O - C to schedule us for the repairs. My advice, buy from FOC at your on risk. Buyer beware!!!
1 Stars - Was in the market for a Jeep Wrangler 4-door. Went to a few dealers in the area, Fair Oaks being one of them. I was hoping for the best, but planning for the worst. Unfortunately, every negative stereotype regarding a "car salesman" was met when I set foot on Fair Oaks' lot.
Fair Oaks is a very clean, very eye appealing dealer. The lobby, bathrooms, service area...all very well kept. Plenty of cars to choose from, but for the Jeep Wrangler, I only had around 8-10 vehicles to chose from, most of them being the same trim line, just different colors. Not terrible, but many of the dealers in our area have much more selection. My salesman told me about the other options available that he could order, but when you're about to purchase something that is $30K+, the buyer should be able to see the product, not take the salesman word for it.
The shopping part was as expected. Pushy saleman trying to upsale me every moment he could. When it came to running numbers, the 'amazing' price i was given was simply the online price that every other dealer in the NoVA area had. Nothing I couldn't have done on my own. For some reason though, this amazing price took him over 1 hour to obtain. In the end, my wife were waiting for over 3 hours to come to a final price that was still $3K over what I was willing to pay. When I said "make this bottom line price XXXX", his response was "Give me another hour". No thank you.
I ended up picking up the vehicle BELOW the price I wanted at a different dealer. When my salesman called me back two days later, he said that he spoke to the manager and the manager agreed to give me more of a discount. I asked "How much?". His reply was "Stop by and we'll discuss." Once again...no thank you. When I then said I already picked up the vehicle I wanted and I thanked him for his time, he said "Mmhmm" and hung up.
I'm sure there may have been other salesmen / women available that would've been more helpful. But the person I ended up getting was your basic, run of the mill, car salesman. The end result was an unpleasant shopping experience and a loss of my business and recommendation.
