I bought my new 2013 Hyundai Genesis R-Spec Coupe last weekend. The whole process from test drive to finance was a breeze. I had to leave my car there on Saturday so I could drive my new coupe home to Ocean View in Norfolk. Sales Manager Darnell Jones even offered to come pick me up on Sunday in Ocean view on his off time so I could get my other car I had to leave at the dealership.
They took care of me from start to finish, heck they even bought me lunch while we were waiting for the finance guy to come in.
Darnell Jones and Jim Burke in sales made my first car buying experience completely painless.
Outstanding experience, if you are in a market for a new Hyundai its worth the drive.
The service department has a hell of a time answering their phone. I had to call them three times to get anybody to answer and tell me whether my car was ready, even though they were supposed to have called me when it was ready. Don't even think about trying to schedule a service appointment by phone; do it online instead. At least there you don't have to wait for someone to answer. They could at least pick up the phone and ask you to hold if they are busy with another customer. Exceedingly rude.
I had a very bad experience with the service department. My car sat there for 6 weeks before I could get answer as to whether a repair was covered under the Hyundai warranty. I eventually took the car somewhere else for the repairs. Day after day, I would call them and they would promise to call me back later in the day with an answer. They would never call back. I lost track of how many times their answering system cut me off.
Great service and wonderful, professional staff. I will be purchasing my new car from this dealership. Very pleasant atmosphere.

We are very pleased with our new Sonata, and have become well acquainted with its operation. Over the 20 years that we have lived in Williamsburg we have utilized the services of independent garages, those that were not affiliated with automobile manufacturers. The experience has been less then satisfactory. In anticipation of replacing our car, we felt it would better serve us to avoid going the same route. The impression that we gained of the Williamsburg Hyundai sales experience was favorable to the extent that it strongly suggests that the maintenance standards will also be equally favorable.

We've had one terrible experience after another w/ service dept at Wmbg Honda in last 12 years. Now have all service done on our 2 Hondas elsewhere unless warranty or safety recall requires Honda dealer. We're eligible for free inspections for Odyssey but have been paying to have inspections done elsewhere because it's not worth time lost & frustration gained to have work done here for free. Today we took our Accord due to a recall issue. Arrived on time for service that were told would take 45 min. It took 2.5 hrs & that was only with pushing them. Was told express customers (who don't have appts) get first preference. Service always takes hours longer than it should. More than once parts weren't in or wrong parts were ordered for scheduled appts. Splash guards for Odyssey were installed crooked & had to be re-done. We wish there were another Honda dealer somewhere nearby, but unfortunately, this is the only dealer within an hour of where we live.
We have been buying Honda and getting them serviced at Williamsburg Honda for about 20 years. We have always had an excellent experience based on professional and honest behavior on the part of the sales and service staff. Excellent!
First service experience on my pre-owned Nissan, needed inspection, oil change, and tire inflation.......all free, no charge, and took just about the amount of time they said it would. Highly recommended. BTW, this is the very first time I've spent an hour at an auto service dept, and was charged nothing !

In college I dropped off a '94 Accord there for repair. I got it back and the back right wheel whined every time I slowed down. Took it back to them and they said it would need a roughly $1k complete brake repair. The person on the phone said something like "I am looking at the part right now that needs to be replaced!" Said no thanks, took it to a friend who tightened the lug nut on the back right tire and made the sound go away.
My wife's Fit was part of a safety recall for a power window master switch repair. We made an appointment on a Monday for a Wednesday afternoon. I dropped the car off at the service bay and about 45 minutes later a representative came out and informed me, "I'm sorry, but we don't have the part for the recall. You'll have to come back at another time." Needless to say I was livid. I let them know that this was unacceptable. I made an appointment two days earlier and now they were saying they didn't have the part? I left very angry. Then, the next day my wife informed me that the power door locks weren't working. They'd been working fine before we dropped the car off.
This is my take on the situation. Either the mechanic inadvertently disconnected the power lock mechanism while he was looking inside the door or he damaged it and realizing it he decided to cover his ass and put out the story that they didn't have the part just to get me out of the shop.
