2 Stars - The problem with this place is not the instructors. The classes are great, the instructors are retired/current officers; they're very knowledgeable and friendly. The problem is the reception. There is only one person there. Customer service is nonexistent. She never calls to confirm appointments. If you call and disagree with her she will hang up on you. I recommend interacting with the front desk as little as possible. Learn here, take the skills test elsewhere. I recommend Defensive Driving School in U District, University Heights School building.
They should really hire someone else to be the public facing component of this school. It's dragging the entire business down. Otherwise it would be the best one in the city.
5 Stars - I failed the first time, but the instructor gave me a couple of good pointers and advice. Professional service.
5 Stars - Loved this driving school! The program was quite thorough and I especially liked the police officer involvement. The staff was polite, efficient, and knowledgeable. Thanks for doing an excellent job, Shield Driving School!
1 Stars - I think the instructor has a ultimate conflict of interest how he can make more money. And instructor can screw you up with his experience.
1 Stars - Very poor service. The reception staff is horrible. I arrived to my appontment only to find I was not booked!! Would not recomend at all!! Go somewhere else

5 Stars - The review above is incorrect. There is no record of this individual in the school records. He has confused this school with another one. The instructor has a 98% passing rate for his students and is highly dedicated in making sure that every one of his students exemplifies good defensive driving skills before he allows them to take the test.
2 Stars - The teacher is very rude and shot tempered, greedy guy. Will never suggest anyone to him.
