4 Stars - Odd atmosphere but it is a nice quiet place to eat. Food was good, nothing to rave about but worth my time and money. I'd go back.
4 Stars - Probably one of the better places to eat in Gillette. I walked in. Hours later, they rolled me out to the curb. Left me there... all alone... in the dark =( But then some old lady helped me to my car!!!! =D
4 Stars - Very good service. The food was really good although with more salt than I would use at home. The meat was flavorful and very tender. Our server did an excellent job and was friendly and informative about the local area.

5 Stars - Listen, Gillette has a lot to offer, but a wide variety of fine dinning is not one of them. The Chophouse is definitely one of the best, if not THE best restaurant in town, period. I have had times were my experience could have been improved by faster or more professional service, but this is common to any restaurant if you visit it enough. The food is excellent and priced correctly for the dinning experience expected. I have had far more good experiences then bad. If you are used to dinning in Denver, Rapid City or Billings, then the Chophouse is a welcome oasis in the middle of nowhere.

4 Stars - I stopped by for dinner on Thursday, June 3rd, 2010. No one walks on water so they certainly won't get five stars but they will get four. The food was okay, probably on par with Prime Rib if you're looking for a kind of upscale atmosphere here in the Energy Capitol of the Nation.
The wine list is lengthy and so are the other alcohol choices. The menu has soups, salads, steaks, pasta dishes, and seafood... come to think of it, they probably have one of the most extensive menu choices for a restaurant of this caliber.
There are absolutely no horror stories from my experience except that I still haven't learned where to set my silverware on which side of the plate. A spoon, two forks, and a knife can be overwhelming for a guy!
Probably a good place if you're looking for a good place to take your date to or even if you're of the female persuasion but as a single guy in his late 20's, I'll stick with Humphries where it's more my atmosphere.
